Thank you for your interest in performing at California Culture Festival’s 2027 Lunar New Year celebrations. We welcome cultural organizations, schools, community groups, dance teams, musicians, martial arts groups and other performers to apply.

IMPORTANT: UNPAID COMMUNITY PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITY

Performances submitted through this application are voluntary community performances. California Culture Festival does not provide performance fees, honoraria, stipends, travel reimbursement, lodging, meals or other compensation.

Submitting an application or being selected to perform does not create an employment or independent-contractor relationship with California Culture Festival. Any exception must be approved in advance through a separate written agreement signed by California Culture Festival before the event.

Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance. Performance dates, times, durations and stage assignments are determined by California Culture Festival and are subject to change.

PERFORMER REQUIREMENTS

All stages are outdoors. Performers must bring any costumes, instruments, props and specialized equipment required for their performance.

Approved music must be provided on a phone or USB drive in a format specified by California Culture Festival. Performers must arrive by their assigned check-in time and be prepared to complete setup, performance and teardown within their approved time slot.

California Culture Festival may adjust performance schedules, durations and stage assignments based on event operations, weather, safety requirements and program needs.

PERFORMANCE CONTENT AND MEDIA RELEASE

Performers are responsible for ensuring that their performance, music, costumes, props and conduct are appropriate for a family-friendly community event.

The views and content presented by performers are their own and do not necessarily represent the opinions of California Culture Festival or its event partners.

By submitting this application and participating in an event, performers authorize California Culture Festival and its partners to photograph and record the performance and to use those photographs and recordings for event documentation, publicity, marketing and promotional purposes without additional compensation.
